Wachi brings a wealth of experience in both machine learning and quantitative finance innovation to the Pluribus Labs agenda. Wachi most recently worked as a Senior Quantitative Researcher at Mellon Capital Management. Prior to that he conducted academic research in the fields of finance and computer science.
Wachi‘s past experiences include stints as a rally racer and jiujitsu practitioner. He’s currently giving driving lessons to other Pluribus employees.
Wachi holds a PhD and an MS in Finance from The George Washington University, an MS in Applied Mathematics from the Florida Institute of Technology and a BS in Pure Mathematics from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Chief Technology Officer
Sebastien is responsible for the Pluribus Labs technology stack. Sebastien has built high-scale, low latency data systems for the financial sector for most of his career. As a software architect at Moody’s KMV, Sebastien led the design and implementation of complex distributed data delivery systems. Subsequently, Sebastien worked in the Global Trading Research group of Instinet / Nomura Securities, where he built real time market data and complex event processing systems.
Sebastien earned his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computer Science from the Institut Universitaire de Technologies from Montpellier (France).
Brandon brings a combination of computer science and finance skills to Pluribus Labs. Brandon previously interned at Wedbush Securities and Crabel Capital where he honed his knowledge of equity investment strategies. At Pluribus Labs, Brandon blends research and data engineering skills to produce analytics on company generated collateral.
Brandon earned his BS in Statistics from UC Berkeley
William Floyd, PhD
Bill’s research at Pluribus Labs broadly examines how stock prices incorporate accounting information, with a particular focus on accessing information provided by firms and regulators through qualitative and unstructured disclosure channels.
Prior to graduate school, he worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and is a licensed CPA in New York.
Bill holds a PhD from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a BBA in Accounting and BA in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Steven is the master of code reviews and fast sprints. Steven brings experience from his days as an intern at Scotia Bank to the Pluribus Labs agenda, where he combines machine learning and engineering in optimizing our processing pipelines.
Outside of the office, Steven can be found exploring all that the SF bay area offers.
Steven holds a BaSc in Finance from the University of Toronto.
